Creating an Event in the OttoApp
This guide walks you through the process of creating a new event, setting its location, and configuring a recurring schedule.
- Access the Calendar: From the main Operate dashboard, select the Calendar tab located in the bottom navigation bar.
- Create a New Entry: Click the green "+" button in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the "Add New Event" form.
- Enter Event Details:
- Select the Event Type (e.g., Meeting) and provide a clear Event Title.
- Define the Date and Time for the occurrence. You can use the "Multi-Date" option or click "Add Additional Date/Time" to include multiple specific time slots.
- Assign a Location: Use the Location(s) dropdown to navigate through your facilities and select a specific room or area (e.g., Metro Community Center - Community Room 1).
- Set the Recurrence (for recurring events): Check the Repeats box to define how often the event should occur (e.g., every Friday) and set the Until date to determine when the series ends.
- Finalize and Save:
- Add an Event Description and set the Group Visibility to control who can see the event.
- Choose a Display Color to help categorize the event on the main calendar view.
- Click Save Event to finalize the entry.
Once saved, the event will automatically populate across all selected dates on your master calendar.
